Having previously lived in a new build in Merthyr Tydfil, 34 year olds Adam and Shaun were keen to move to a semi-rural area that suited their lifestyle but also offered good commuting links to Bristol and Cardiff. It’s a move that has paid off for the data management specialists, both of whom have secured new jobs since moving in to their four-bedroom home.
Adam said: “We reserved our new home nine months before it was built and ready for us to move in which gave us the opportunity to choose a number of different upgrades and finishes including our fabulous pantry. It was such an exciting time for us as we monitored the build progress, particularly the hard-hat experience when we got to walk around the house as an empty shell for the first time. Before we knew it, we were having our pre-completion inspection and it was time to move in.
“We took advantage of Redrow’s Help to Sell scheme and used a recommended solicitor to help ease the process. This meant that it was easy to track progress so all we had to worry about was getting packed up ready for the move and planning where to put our Christmas tree! From day one of first meeting the sale team on-site to resolving some minor snagging issues after we moved in, nothing has been too much trouble for Redrow. We are so pleased that we made the move.”
Shaun adds: “People say that buying a house is a stressful time but for us it really wasn’t. From the moment we chose our new home through to meeting our new neighbours for the first time, the experience has been brilliant. In fact, it really has changed our lives.
“We’ve got a beautiful home that we love and we’re living in a lovely community with great facilities on the doorstep and excellent transport links that have opened up new job opportunities. As keen walkers, we can also get out on the coastal path with our dogs Dylan and Gwen to explore the local area. All four of us really do consider ourselves to be very lucky.”
