Pupils at Bishop Childs Church Primary School have been enjoying their new outdoor learning area thanks to a little help from our South Wales team and their contractors Walters Environmental.
Trees removed from our Plasdwr development now form a log circle to support outdoor learning for the 212 pupils aged 4 – 11 years old. The work was arranged by David Stimpson, our Infrastructure Manager at Plasdwr with contractor Ben James of Walters Environmental.
David said: “It’s great to be working with our colleagues and contractors at Walters to recycle and repurpose the trees that we are removing as part of our infrastructure works here on site at Plasdwr. What’s even better is that we’re helping local children to enjoy the outdoors.”
Headteacher Nicola Price said: “The log circle is a brilliant addition to our busy school. We’re very grateful to Redrow and Walters for all their help particularly as the children have already been making good use of the new log circle. We are all looking forward to spending more time outside when we return to school in September.”
