It’s time for a double celebration as we’ve named Emma Gunney as Sales Consultant of the Year and Elaine Cliffe as Customer Service Employee of the Year in South Wales, promoting them both to Customer Service Managers.
48 year-old Emma from Barry first joined us in 2003 as a part-time sales consultant. Married to Steve with two children, she is now working alongside her eldest daughter Molly who has recently joined us as a sales apprentice. Emma will move in to her new position as a Customer Service Manager next month.
The annual awards were held online on 12 January and saw Emma being praised for her ability to build great relationships with customers and role as a customer service champion for the 22 strong sales team in South Wales. Described as a great ambassador for Redrow, Emma is said to always be the first in the queue to volunteer for charity projects and community events.
Elaine Cliffe was named Customer Service Employee of the Year for South Wales. Originally from Kent, the 39 year old now lives in Cardiff with husband Glynn and their two children. Elaine first joined us in 2016 on a temporary contract before becoming permanent as a Customer Services Co-ordinator then Assistant Customer Services Manager in 2018 before her latest promotion to Customer Services Manager.
As one of a team of five, Elaine took part in the House Builder Mountain Marathon representing our South Wales division; completing 26 miles over two days in the Lake District in September 2019.
Elaine has played a fundamental role in keeping the customer service team operating smoothly during Covid-19. She welcomes customers to their new homes and supports them during the settling-in period, carrying out site inspections and resolving any issues as they arise.
Sales Director Beverley Wookey said: “Both Emma and Elaine are consummate professionals always giving 100%. It’s an absolute pleasure to work with them both; they rise to the challenge every time and really champion the excellent customer service that our customers know us for.
“They’re both great ambassadors of our brand and that’s why they have both been selected for promotion to take Customer Service Manager positions with the business. I’m delighted that their passion and commitment has been recognised with these well-deserved awards and promotions. We’re very grateful for all their hard work and wish them both every success with their new roles.”
