“I’d already known people who had moved into Redrow homes and only had the best things to say, so when I stumbled across the plots that were local to me, I couldn’t help but find out more”, says Paul.
Paul had been suffering from major snagging issues in his old home, where scaffolding was put up for over a year, meaning that living at home was a noisy and unenjoyable experience.
This couldn’t have been a better time for Paul to start looking at other properties that were still local to him.
Having already lived in Okehampton for the last six years, Paul wanted both the benefits of the beautiful scenery, along with the convenient transport and commuter options that the area has to offer.
“As a single parent, it was important for me to be close to my parents. Being able to go on scenic walks and cycle rides was important for my son, dog, and me too,
“Having recently taken over as manager of my son’s football team, staying local made sense, so I continued looking around the area with the help of the Redrow sales team”, explains Paul.
“Moving into our Redrow home was easy. My son, dog, and I had such a smooth transition into our new Shaftesbury home and the Redrow team were just great at making sure that this was possible! We’ve now been here for the last 18 months, and we really can’t complain.”
Aside from the location, Paul sought a traditional build that allowed him to host his family and friends in a large open-plan space. A space that enabled his 10-year-old son and dog to run around and play was hugely important.
“For me, bi-folding doors and a kitchen island were a great nice-to-have for the house, and the Redrow team set about making that happen which I couldn’t be happier about!”
As the sales team pushed the completion of the house through with Paul’s desired additions, the move-in day was also made very straightforward. The team welcomed Paul, his son, and his dog to their new home with a wonderful red bow and welcome package, and they immediately felt at home.
“Our new home is brilliant and the sense of community in the area has helped us all to settle in. We have a Romansfield Facebook group where we often communicate, and Redrow is just great at encouraging that community integration with the events they organise regularly for residents and the local community.”
“Our previous home was great,” adds Paul, “but this really feels like home for all of us. Being so close to my family and friends whilst having that bit of extra space and sense of community has really made this an amazing experience.”
