With Christmas approaching, the donation is more important than ever in ensuring that families and children are warm and fed this year. The cost-of-living crisis has meant that this year forecasts a record number of families reaching out for help, whether it be in terms of food or warmth.
Mamas Bristol CIC was founded in 2018 as a community initiative that aims to reduce waste and encourage the reuse of items, thus enabling families to live in a more sustainable and environmentally friendly way. Mamas’ pride themselves in providing a platform for families who are able to both offer or request free items aligning with their ethos of creating an inclusive community spirit and reducing social isolation.
Redrow is always keen on supporting local communities and funding initiatives that create inclusivity and accessibility for all and are excited to be able to donate to this worthy cause.
Charlotte Newnes, Area Sales Manager for Redrow South West remarked, “We are thrilled that we are able to donate to such an amazing cause this winter. Here at Redrow South West, we support our communities both at our developments and within the wider communities, and this donation is another way for us to give back to our people!”
Kelsey Lee Booy, Co-Director of Mamas Bristol, commented: “We know how difficult this winter is going to be for some of our families and this donation has been amazing in continuing our work with our local community. The generous donation will support tackling hunger, mental health difficulties and those who slip through the cracks in the government system.”
