On Thursday 9th September, the housebuilders and architects of the South West will gather at Exeter University to showcase their efforts over the last twelve months. In a challenging year of sizable change, the regional residential market has proven its robustness and the industry has demonstrated great strength.
The Insider South West Residential Property Awards will recognise the region’s residential property and construction sector, rewarding companies whose work has stood out from the rest over the past year.
Shortlisted for two awards, we’re in the running for the much-coveted House Builder of the Year award. Presented to companies of any size that can demonstrate a commitment to delivering high quality homes in the South West and for those that go above and beyond to create more than just homes.
Charlotte Newnes, area sales manager for the South West commented: “Redrow South West are honoured to be nominated for such a prestigious accolade. The team have worked tirelessly to exceed expectation and our delivery of high-quality developments with thriving communities, amenities, playgrounds, and parklands, demonstrates the influence we have made in people’s lives. We look forward to the awards event in September!”
We’ve also been shortlisted for the Sustainability award. This award requires the nominees to demonstrate sustainable credentials through partnerships, collaborations or by raising the bar with the delivery of an archetype project.
By utilising responsibly sourced timber, minimising waste, reducing carbon emissions, and partnering with organisations such as The Wildlife Trusts, we’ve demonstrated time after time that we remain committed to sustainable business methods.
Andy Cattermole, senior planning manager commented: “To be nominated for this award is tribute to the efforts of the planning and procurement teams who continuously audit our projects for socio-economic impact.
“Our internal social report confirms that our impact on communities, the environment, and biodiversity is a positive one with 93% of products, services and labour sourced locally and 98% of waste successfully diverted away from landfills. In addition, a total of £314m has been invested into community infrastructure to bolster the completion of 1,712 affordable homes.”
