We are launching the second phase of new homes at Blackmore Down, our 170-home community in the market town of Shaftesbury, Dorset.
To mark the launch, we will be inviting prospective buyers and members of the local community to an event at our development on Saturday 3rd September between 1-4pm, where they will be able to see the homes first-hand while enjoying the pizza and drinks provided.
Three- and four-bedroom homes will be available, with the 40 new properties all taken from our award winning Heritage Collection. Inspired by the Arts & Crafts architectural movement of the 1930s, the homes feature traditional exteriors, including gable ended roofs and porches. Meanwhile, the interiors are open-plan, spacious and modern, with high ceilings and integrated appliances.
The show homes that visitors can explore on site includes the fully furnished three-bedroom Warwick, the three-bedroom Oxford Lifestyle and the four-bedroom Shaftesbury house types.
Set on the edge of Shaftesbury and between Salisbury and Yeovil, residents at Blackmore Down will benefit from having Cranborne Chase Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty right on their doorsteps, comprising of 380 square miles of idyllic countryside and green open space.
Shaftesbury itself features a host of local amenities, including a range of restaurants and shops alongside a selection of state and independent schools, all rated ‘good’ by Ofsted.
The closest train station is only five miles away in Gillingham, with direct trains to London Waterloo in just under two hours. Trains to Salisbury take 30 minutes and Exeter can be reached in 90 minutes.
Mark Vanson, Sales Director for Southern Counties, commented: “We are excited to be delivering our second phase of homes in Shaftesbury. Our Dorset community has proven incredibly popular to date, with the development benefitting from its close proximity to beautiful swathes of countryside as well as the vibrant hub of the market town centre, which is home to a variety of events and shows throughout the year.
“Our event this weekend will enable prospective buyers to leisurely explore the homes and we look forward to welcoming everyone on site.”
Our Help to Sell initiative is available at no extra cost, where we will arrange up to three appraisals of a buyer’s former property while contributing to estate agent fees.
Prices start from £409,950 for a four-bedroom detached home, and to find out more or to register your interest, please visit our development page.
