One of the first developments in the area, the residents of Heritage Gardens moved in a quarter of a century ago, with over 10 original residents still living in their houses today.
Over the years the group of residents have become fast friends, with more than 50 children and grandchildren between them. They regularly host get togethers, and the development now boasts a book club, walking club, Men’s club and one of the favourites – the Sundowner’s Club, a neighbourhood bar hop visiting each of the themed bars in the residents’ back gardens.
Sarah Holmes and her husband were the first residents to move into the development in September 1999, they loved the street so much that after a few years they moved three houses down into the show home!
Sarah, commenting on the celebration, said: “After 25 years living together, we’ve all formed such great bonds and friendships, it truly feels like an extended family. Getting together over the weekend with the originals, some who have moved on and children and grandchildren who were born on Heritage Gardens and still live here today was such a fantastic celebration for our community.”
