Education

Schools are often one of the key considerations for families when they choose to relocate, and the good news is that Birch Grange is surrounded by a wide range of options. There is a total of 25 primary schools in Rochdale, five of which you and your children can easily walk to from the development. Wardle High School is similarly close by for older children, or you may consider sending your daughters to Rochdale Girls School. In total, there are five secondary schools and two independent schools to choose from in the local area. Transport

Birch Grange is only three miles from Rochdale, which has easy transport links to the rest of the north. Oldham is about five miles away, whilst Manchester is only around ten miles. The M62 motorway is south of Rochdale and is easily accessible via the A627, which also links to Oldham. Another key road close to the development is the A58, which connects Rochdale to Bury in the west and Halifax in the east.
Rochdale's rail station is a mile from the town centre. There are quick connections to Manchester, along with Halifax, Victoria, Bradford, Leeds and Dewsbury, making the location ideal for commuters in a number of different areas. Travel to and from Manchester has become even more convenient with the Metrolink tram network, and there are frequent bus services to surrounding areas from the station, beside the Wheatsheaf shopping centre.

There is plenty to see and do in the area surrounding Birch Green. Rochdale has all of the usual entertainment on offer that you would expect, such as an Odeon cinema , the Gracie Fields Theatre and Middleton Arena , which all host a variety of screenings and shows. With Manchester so close, there are also endless opportunities to attend bigger shows and concerts in the city. There is the Opera House, Bridgewater Hall and three major concert venues.

For indoor fitness try Heywood Sport Village, which offers a wide range of sports. Rochdale's Central Leisure Centre in Rochdale is also certain to become a local favourite, with three pools as well as Russian and Turkish baths.
