DiningWith a tourist trade comes a wealth of excellent restaurants, and Lechlade diners are truly spoiled for choice. Try Pinos, Colleys or L’Artigiano in the town, or River Vale or the Riverside beside the river.
As you would expect from the Cotswolds, there is also an endless choice of old country inns in the area, most of which do excellent food. The Old Swan, the Trout and the Five Alls are all highly recommended.

EducationEducation can be a concern in rural areas, but not in Lechlade. The town has its own popular primary school, St Lawrence Church of England Primary, at the heart of the community, where all local children attend, while younger children looked after by Lechlade Little Learners Pre-School.
Older children will naturally have to travel to school, but it’s well worth the trip, with the nearby Farmors School rated ‘outstanding’ in the latest OFSTED report. There is a regular school bus from Lechlade to Farmors.
