ShoppingThere is an excellent choice of shopping to be found in Oldham, from traditional markets to modern malls. The town centre is pedestrianised, creating several streets of shops and stores centred around the Spindles Town Square shopping centre. Oldham is also home to the historic Tommyfield Market, which is open daily, except Sunday, with over 110 stalls to browse and buy. You’ll also find fresh meat and veg at Curzon Street market, every Friday and Saturday, to set you up for the weekend.
If you prefer out of town shopping, try the Elk Mill Retail Park, on the edge of Oldham between the town and the development.
For a more extensive shopping trip, head into Manchester, where you’ll find flagship stores from all the major names, as well as a huge range of quirky independents in and around the famous Arndale Centre.
