Dormer

Tiling

Tiles and slates are a natural product so minor blemishes or variations in the texture, finish and colour are common.

Weather conditions may cause damage to your tiles. As this is a natural cause it is not covered as part of your warranty and you should speak to your Buildings Insurance provider.

If you have concerns over the fitting of your dorma tiles then let us know providing relevant photographs of the area of concern. Any concerns should be visible when standing 10 metres from the tiles in natural daylight.

Mortar

Your dorma tiles are secured with mortar, which may crack over time as it weathers.

You should arrange for this to be repaired or replaced as part of your home owner maintenance as it is not classed as a defect nor covered by our warranty.

Leaking

Your dorma should be water tight. If you notice any leaks, ideally protect the area by capturing the water in a container and contact us as soon as possible including relevant photographs showing internal and external damage.

Glazing

We make every effort to protect your glazing right up until the moment we hand you the keys.

Very occasionally marks or scratches can be made and these can only be seen in different lights. Certain minor imperfections are acceptable provided they are not obtrusive or bunched, these include bubbles or blisters, hairlines or blobs, minute particles, fine scratches not more than 25mm long.

If scratches and / or marks are visible in natural daylight when standing 2m from the window then this should have been raised during your Home Preview or Courtesy Check.

Something still not right?

We hope the supporting guidance resolves your concerns. However, if you believe your issue falls outside of the standards described as set by your warranty provider, you can contact us.
