Roof
Titling
Roof tiling should be uniform in appearance and colour when viewed from a 10 metre distance in natural daylight.
Weather conditions may cause damage to your roof tiles. As this is a natural cause it is not covered as part of your warranty and you should speak to your Buildings Insurance provider.
If you have concerns over the fitting of your roof tiles then let us know providing any relevant photographs of the area of concern.
Mortar
Your roof tiles are secured with mortar, which may crack over time as it weathers.
You should arrange for this to be repaired or replaced as part of your home owner maintenance as it is not classed as a defect nor covered by our warranty.
Leaking
Your roof should be water tight. If you notice any leaks, ideally protect the area by capturing the water in a container and contact us as soon as possible with details of the area and any relevant photographs showing internal and external damage.
Panels (Conservatory)
Your conservatory roof should be cleaned regularly and kept free of dirt and debris as part of your home owner maintenance.
Any damage to the roof should have been raised during your Home Preview or at your Courtesy Check.
Coping stones
Many of the external products we use are natural materials and it is normal for them to have minor imperfections.
Stonework, including coping stones, should be viewed in natural daylight from a minimum of 10 metres. If you can see any significant cracks, chips or marks greater than 15mm in diameter then let us know.
Something still not right?
