Using the extractor hood above your kitchen hob will help reduce steam, vapour and odours during and after cooking.

It is important to maintain and clean the fan to ensure it stays in tip top condition. Some cooker hoods are fitted with charcoal filters which need changing over time; refer to manufacturer's guidelines for advice on how to change them.
Check that the cooker hood is switched to the 'on' position on the appliance grid switch within your kitchen area.
