Manholes/Inspection chambers

Raised

Drainage covers in hard standing areas should be in line with the ground level.

Over time it is common for drainage covers in landscaped / turfed areas to become slightly raised as the ground around them naturally sinks and settles. As long as this is not a trip hazard it is not classed as a defect.

In turfed areas we recommend backfilling with soil and re-seeding.

Sunk

Drainage covers in hard standing areas should be in line with the ground level.

If your drainage cover has sunk send details of its location and a photograph so we can have our contractors attend and resolve.

Damaged

Any damage to your manholes / drainage covers should have been raised during your Home Preview or Courtesy Check.
