This donation will significantly contribute to the mission of the Scouts in engaging and supporting young people in Haverhill and surrounding areas, in their personal development, empowering them to make a positive contribution to society and provide them with skills for life.
1st Haverhill Scout Group is one of the local groups involved in constructing a new hut that will serve as a base for local youth to attend weekly and make their own. This new facility is expected to make a real and positive difference in the lives of the young people, offering them a safe and supportive environment for learning, adventure, and personal growth.
Lately, 1st Haverhill Scout Group have been focusing on activities that can be completed away from the grounds while the new building is completed. The group usually have three sessions that all meet on the same day so it hasn’t been easy to work around the build. The Scouts are well supported by local businesses within Haverhill, such as TemPower who arranged for the Cubs to visit their company and help get ready for Glastonbury festival.
Kerry McCoubrey sales director for our Eastern division, commented on the donation, saying, "At Redrow, we are committed to creating not only homes, but thriving communities. We are really excited to support the local Scout group in Haverhill as they work towards building a new Scout hut that will serve as a hub of learning and adventure for the young people of the town. Our connection with the community in Haverhill is already growing, and we look forward to seeing the positive impact this project will have on the lives of local children."
