We are pleased to celebrate 24 of our site managers, who have been recognised at this year’s NHBC Pride in the Job Quality Awards.
This year has seen success for colleagues in our East Midlands, Eastern, Lancashire, Midlands, North West, South East, South West, South Midlands, South Wales, Southern Counties and Yorkshire regions.
Established by the National House Building Council (NHBC), the award celebrates the exceptional contribution site managers make in creating homes of outstanding quality. Launched over forty years ago, Pride in the Job is the most highly regarded competition in the housebuilding industry.
Judging for the awards is rigorous, with the current competition beginning in July 2021. Every site manager with a site registered for a NHBC Buildmark warranty is automatically entered to the competition, with entrants assessed across nine areas: foundations; substructure and drainage; superstructure; roofs; first fix; second fix; surface finishes; external works; and organisation.
Matthew Pratt, Group Chief Executive, commented: “It is testament to the fantastic work of our teams across our regions that we’re awarded amongst our peers at such a prestigious national level.
“At Redrow, we’re committed to giving people a better way to live, and that is encapsulated in the drive, determination, and resilience of our colleagues being recognised by these awards.
“I am delighted with these results and wish all of today’s winners the very best of luck for the next round in the autumn.”
The recognition for our colleagues can in part be attributed to our commitment to learning and development. Last year, our employees completed nearly 4,100 training days from a combination of e-learning, online seminars and face-to-face training.
Learning and development continues to be at the heart of our business, and we have seen great success in moving to a more dynamic and flexible approach to training, by delivering shorter, focused virtual sessions. Last financial year, we were pleased to see 211 internal promotions, and we have also continued to invest in the development of our people, upgrading our Learning Management system and focussing on our commitment to succession planning to develop the next generation of housebuilders.
Once more, over the past year, we've consistently been rated as ‘excellent’ on Trustpilot and once again achieved the Five Star Customer Satisfaction award from the Home Builders’ Federation (HBF). These accolades are a product of the excellent work our teams continue to deliver.
