Two development teams, a waste management company and a tiling business have been honoured at our annual awards.
The internal awards aim to celebrate the division’s development teams who have excelled in health and safety and customer care, plus our supply chain and subcontractor partners, who all support us in delivering a five-star service to customers.
Held virtually this year from two show homes at Woodford Garden Village, the winners included:
Health and Safety Team of the Year - Kingsbourne in Nantwich
Customer Care Team of the Year - Hartford Grange, Hartford
Supplier of the Year - Ecofficiency
Sub-contractor of the Year - Farndon Tiles
Winners of the Supplier of the Year and Sub-contractor of the Year awards were voted for by our construction, commercial and customer service departments and they were scored on service, quality and health and safety.
Jason Newton, Managing Director for the North West says: “It gives me great pleasure to announce the winners of the divisional awards. Every year we like to recognise the hard work that’s carried out behind the scenes at our developments and applaud each and every individual that contributes to creating our developments.”
Ecofficiency is a leading nationwide provider of outsourced waste management and recycling services. The main objective of the company is to reduce the amount of waste that comes from a development. They also increase site efficiency and ensure environmental and legal compliance within the day-to-day operations.
Simon Raven, Managing Director of Ecofficiency, said: “We’re delighted to have won Supplier of the Year after entering a very productive partnership with Redrow NW which has seen us substantially reduce its waste intensity, generating major cost savings in the region of 45%.
“The results clearly demonstrate that when working with a customer that is fully engaged in the process, our unique approach to managing the reuse and segregation of waste on site will significantly reduce waste output and costs.
“It is very gratifying that our success with Redrow NW is being recognised by other regions in their business and we have now extended our managed service to five other regions across the UK."
Farndon Tiles are a family-run flooring company who install ceramic wall and floor tiling. The Rossett-based company are currently on site working at Regent’s Grange and Kings Moat Garden Village, both in Chester, Hartford Grange, Hartford and Backford Cross, West Cheshire.
Farndon Tiles has a long history of working with our North West. The award recognises the supplier’s consistency in providing high-quality customer service and aftercare.
Howard Price, Director, says: “It’s fantastic to have been awarded Sub-contractor of the Year. We’re a small family business but we’re all incredibly hard workers so the recognition means a lot. Our work wouldn’t be achievable without the other sub-contractors so it’s a real team effort and something we’re very happy to be part of.”
As part of their prize, we will make a £500 donation to a charity of choice from both Farndon Tiles and Ecofficiency.
Farndon Tiles has chosen the Nightingale House Hospice in Wrexham and Ecofficiency are donating their portion to The Eve Merton Dreams Trust.
