We have now launched the first homes at our newly acquired site in Sittingbourne, Kent. Amber Fields is a 159-home community, with 80 three- and four-bedroom homes for private sale and 16 affordable homes in the first phase.
The collection of detached, semi-detached, and terraced homes are from our award-winning Heritage Collection, recognised for its distinctive and striking arts & crafts exteriors. The Heritage Collection was designed with the kitchen as the hub of the home, this sociable open-plan space is complemented by a separate lounge and three- or four-bedrooms upstairs that can easily be adapted to suit the buyer, whether it is a home office, playroom, or bedrooms for each member of the family.

The new homes are set amongst pockets of green open space, including allotments and a community orchard to encourage people to ‘grow their own’. Amber Fields is located on the north west edge of Sittingbourne, with residents able to benefit from the area’s connections to London, via the high-speed rail line to London St Pancras and the surrounding towns of Chatham, Maidstone and the historic city of Canterbury. Sittingbourne has as selection of ‘good’ and ‘outstanding’ Ofsted rated local schools, shops and leisure facilities all within walking distance of the new homes.
Leon Shelton-Smith, Area Sales Manager at the South East, commented, “Amber Fields is an ideal location to give residents a blend of town centre living and green open space. Positioned to the north west of the town, the edge of the North Downs is on the doorstep and new homeowners can easily visit nearby villages and market towns, while the seaside town of Whitstable is half an hour away.
“Our Heritage Collection homes are designed to suit family life, with spacious sociable rooms throughout. We have seen in the last year how important it is for homes to fit around home and work life, and our designs seamlessly cater for this with their large rooms and flexible floorplans.”
Through our plans, we are contributing over £2.7million to the wider community, which includes funding towards the local NHS services, education, highways and social care. Once complete, Amber Fields will sit within a wider community of 1,500 homes, with a linear park running through the centre. A secondary school, primary school and local shops are also planned onsite.
Homes will initially be sold from our nearby Regent Quay development (Crown Quay Lane), where perspective buyers will be able to discuss the new homes at Amber Fields with the sales consultants and get a feel for the Redrow product by visiting the three show homes open at Regent Quay.
In line with the latest Government guidance on the housing and construction industry, our sale centres and show homes remain open across the region with social distancing and rigorous hygiene measures in place. Physical or video appointments with sales consultants are available to book via its website.
The new homes launched on the 20th and 21st March. Prices start at £359,995 for three-bedroom homes. To find out more visit www.redrow.co.uk/amberfields.
