Our South East division has secured planning consent for the first wave of properties at a new community of 599 homes at Ebbsfleet Garden City.
The 25-acre site will be transformed into Stonehaven Park and form part of the wider mixed-use area in Eastern Quarry where 6,250 homes will be built by a collection of housebuilders and developers.
We are set to deliver 599 of these homes and has now secured detailed consent for the initial 227 contemporary one- and two-bedroom apartments and three- and four-bedroom houses. 42% of the homes will be available at affordable tenure.
The homes at Stonehaven Park will be bespoke in design, benefitting from modern exteriors in keeping with the Kentish vernacular, including tall gable roofs, large windows and weatherboarding on the façades.
Each property with a dedicated parking space will also benefit from its own EV charging point. Meanwhile, additional EV charging points will be available for shared parking areas, and we will be providing car club spaces for homeowners who do not want to own their own vehicle. Walking and cycling routes will then connect the new residents to the surrounding area, including to the high-speed train line from Ebbsfleet International.
Stonehaven Park follows on from Ebbsfleet Green, the community of more than 900 homes that Redrow is delivering at another part of Ebbsfleet Garden City.
David Banfield, Planning Director for South East: “We are so pleased to be bringing a brand new, design-led scheme to Ebbsfleet Garden City. The proposals place a large focus on community, providing carefully designed spaces to enjoy the outdoors and socialise. We look forward to starting work on site and launching homes for sale in due course.”
The first homes at Stonehaven Park are set to launch to market later in the year. We are due to submit a further planning application for the remaining homes later this year.
