We are currently building at Badbury Park on Homington Avenue, and we have donated £522.24 to Swindon Pickleball as part of our Community Fund initiative.
The fund, which was launched last year, provides organisations and charities with donations to help them thrive, with local causes encouraged to apply for their share of a £10,000 pot.
Swindon Pickleball, which was founded just last year, is a fun, social and friendly club welcoming players of all abilities, from beginners to seasoned professionals.
Played in groups of either two or four players, the sport promotes healthy competition and the chance to make new friends at the club’s regular meetings. The funds will be used by Swindon Pickleball to allow them to offer a series of free sessions for new players, with the aim of introducing more people to the sport.
Shaun Jones, Organiser at Swindon Pickleball, said: “We’re incredibly grateful to receive Redrow South West’s donation. The money will be instrumental in helping us share the amazing sport which is Pickleball with the local community. I’d like to say a huge thanks to everyone who has supported us so far, including Redrow South West, and encourage anyone interested to come along and meet our friendly crew!”
