Redrow’s Southern Counties Senior Site Manager at our development The Loftings in Maidenhead, has secured an industry accolade for his exceptional contribution to delivering high quality homes. The National House Building Council (NHBC) celebrates the hard work and commitment of site managers across the country, awarding them with Quality Awards.
Darran Glewis, the regional winner for the Southern Counties, began his career as a bricklayer before progressing to site manager and senior site manager. Joining our Southern Counties in July 2017, he has worked hard with the wider team to deliver the 271-home community in central Maidenhead.
The winners of the prestigious industry award are selected from a pool of 16,000 site managers across the UK. The 12-month selection and judging process identifies site managers who demonstrate skills such as leadership, technical expertise, and attention to detail.
Ian Sneddon, Regional Director at Redrow Southern Counties commented, “Darran and the site team at The Loftings pay such close attention to their work to ensure every home is finished to a high standard. I was absolutely delighted to learn Darran had received the Pride in the Job award from the NHBC and I’d like to congratulate him and his team for their continued dedication and diligence.”
Darran Glewis, Senior Site Manager at The Loftings commented, “Winning this award is fantastic recognition of the rigour and hard work displayed by my team every day. We each share the same commitment to delivering high quality homes for our customers at The Loftings so I'm extremely pleased to be able to share this award with them.”
Following the announcement of the first-round winners, all successful site managers go on to compete for a Seal of Excellence and a Regional Award in their respective categories.
We’re committed to learning and development, and last year we supported our employees through over 7,000 training days a year. We also offer our own dedicated housebuilding degree. The degree is available to all company’s employees, including site managers, ensuring that employees not only excel in their role but work towards achieving professional recognition.
