A talented local youngster is becoming Oxford’s youngest ever architect following a region-wide search.
Our Thames Valley division launched a hunt for imaginative ‘Archi-tots’ aged between four and nine, asking them to design their very own house of the future.
Elva, from Oxford, created a home which featured a wave machine pool, moving stairs and solar-powered air shooters. The house impressed our judging panel based at The Steeples, on Stevenson Crescent, with its sustainable features and well thought-through design.
As the Thames Valley’s new ‘Archi-tot’, Elva has been awarded a prize of £150 in art vouchers - and may even see elements of her design incorporated into our popular Heritage Collection.
Elva’s house design of the future also included a zip wire, slide, sleeping pod and movie room.
As well as her prize, Elva’s school will also receive artwork vouchers to encourage all her classmates to get creative.
