When Elliot and his wife Alison heard we were building homes around the corner from where they lived in Scissett, they knew it was the opportunity they’d been waiting for to secure a top-notch home.
Elliot is a building inspector by trade and has worked in property all his life. He says he knows a good home when he sees one and, having inspected a fair few of our homes, he was acutely aware that they were a different level of new build.
“I’d always told Alison that it would make good sense to buy a Redrow home if we were ever in the position to do so and when Redrow started to build at Langley Grange, which connected to our previous estate, I said we had to go for it,” Elliot explains.
The couple, who have an 18-year-old daughter, loved living in Scissett so moving away wasn’t ever really an option but they knew that a natural progression to one of our homes was the right thing to do.
They’ve actually chosen a home with one less bedroom than their old four-bedroom property but say that they chose our detached Warwick for its design and layout - and the space inside their new home ‘just works”.
“Everything is in proportion. Even though we’re one bedroom less, we’ve got three good-sized bedrooms instead of being stuck with a tiny box room. Downstairs, the open plan kitchen and dining room and the separate lounge gives us all the space we need,” adds Elliot.
Alison and Elliot also made good use of MyRedrow, our personalised area for customers to reserve a home and make interior choices and upgrades online.
“I’m a technophobe but Alison loved it, especially being able to see where the build was up to and check progress from anywhere. We also used it to add a few extras onto the house like turf, fencing and an outside tap and some fitted wardrobes,” says Elliot.
The couple say their end-to-end experience was a highlight for them and the sales consultants Kat Taylor and Ella Askham as well as customer service manager James Rodi and site manager Oli Calpin made them feel special and supported every step of the way.
Langley Grange, off Pilling Lane, enjoys a semi-rural village location close to surrounding countryside while offering good access to Huddersfield, Barnsley, Wakefield and the M1 motorway.
There’s currently a three-bedroom detached Warwick available from £289,950 and more three and four-bedroom homes will be released soon.
