The top priorities of those wanting to move home have shifted since the pandemic, according to our latest survey.
The data we’ve gathered has revealed that when looking for a new home, the top priorities of home movers in Leeds are to have access to open spaces and be near to amenities. All of which bodes well for our Thorpe Park development east of the city.
As part our ‘A Better Way to Live’ campaign that was launched earlier this month, we questioned 2,000 UK adults to find out what they wanted from their next homes post-pandemic.
The survey revealed that 59% of respondents in Leeds wanted to be close to essential amenities and 41% said it was important to be near green, open space.
Steve Jackson, sales director for Yorkshire says these results demonstrate just why Thorpe Park is hitting the mark with Leeds buyers: “Thorpe Park is within walking distance to The Springs retail park with its shops, cinema and restaurants and it also overlooks the 30-acre Central Park, that all residents can enjoy.”
Central Park acts as a green buffer between the homes and commercial facilities and also includes a network of footpaths and cycle, jogging and bridle routes. That’s in addition to the neighbouring 113-acre Green Park which serves the wider Thorpe Park development and also boasts footpaths, cycleways, informal areas of open space, woodland and new wetland areas.
We’re currently building at two outlets at Thorpe Park; The Point offers a range of bespoke two, three and four-bedroom homes and apartments, and The Avenue includes three and four-bedroom homes from our award winning Heritage Collection that combines traditional looking exteriors with bright, modern interiors and high-quality fixtures and fittings.
“We are confident that our spacious homes with flexible living spaces, crafted with the utmost attention to detail, are ideally placed to satisfy the needs of the next wave of aspirational homebuyers,” Steve added.
