Based on current sales rates, we expect to have taken the final reservation by the end of 2022, marking the end of a 200-property scheme which first launched in April 2018.
Steve Jackson, sales director for Yorkshire, said: “Langley Grange is one of those developments that people maybe assume will always be here – but it won’t. We’ve fewer than 40 properties left to sell and, with demand for new homes currently at very high levels, we’re targeting December to take our last reservation and for the very last home to be built and occupied by June 2023.”
The two, three and four-bedroom homes from our Arts & Crafts inspired Heritage Collection have brought with them green spaces for residents and wildlife to enjoy. That includes three new ponds to support Great Crested newts, a protected species, along with specially built underpasses and bridges to ensure the newts can travel safely through the site.
There have also been 28 affordable homes to meet local need and substantial investment in community infrastructure, including £660,000 of Section 106 payments to the local authority which were earmarked for three local schools.
Current availability includes three and four-bedroom detached family homes priced from £311,950 to £444,950. That top-price property is a spacious four-bedroom detached Welwyn with integral garage, en-suite, a large open plan kitchen, dining and family area with patio doors onto the garden and a separate lounge.
All of the available homes enjoy the key advantage of being more energy-efficient and economical to run than older second-hand properties, a big bonus in the current climate. They also come with FttP (Fibre to the Premises) for ultrafast broadband, making them ideal for people who frequently work from home.
Then there’s the convenient location; Scissett is a semi-rural village, with local shops including a Tesco Express, while Huddersfield, Barnsley and Wakefield are all within a 10-mile drive.
“All these factors make it easy to see why Langley Grange is regularly achieving at least one sale a week, sometimes more. People may think they have all the time in the world to choose their new home, but really they haven’t. Timing is key,” Steve adds.
“And the earlier they reserve, the more opportunity they will have to personalise their new home through specification choices and optional upgrades available through our online customer portal My Redrow.”
For existing home owners who need to sell before they can buy, we offer Help to Sell, with practical and financial help to make it simple and stress-free.
