Working from home is simple in this Wakefield home

18th January 2021
Redrow - News - Yorkshire - Work From Home Space

Whether you’re working from home or home schooling, the need for a dedicated workspace is more important than ever before and new homes in Wakefield offer the ideal solution.

A recent survey we conducted showed that having dedicated workspace is now an important factor to buyers and 47% of respondents said they believe they will work part-time from home even after lockdown ends. With that in mind, we take a look inside a home at City Fields that comes with its own study.

The Canterbury is a four-bedroom detached home that starts from £399,950 in Wakefield. As well as having a spacious lounge and open plan kitchen with a breakfast bar and dining area, there’s a dedicated home office at the front of the home.

Steve Jackson, sales director of our Yorkshire division says: “Differentiating between workspace and the space where you relax, socialise and spend time with your family will be a huge benefit. One of the benefits of working in an office is we can leave and switch off for the night at home. Working at home makes this increasingly difficult, especially if the space you work in is also where you eat your dinner.”

And it’s not just inside the homes where customers’ post-lockdown requirements have changed.

The same survey also showed that being within walking distance of a local shop and other essentials is one of the biggest priorities to buyers, as well as homes with access to ultra-fast broadband.

“Our homes come with fibre to the premises (FTTP) broadband meaning internet speed for Zoom meetings should be no problem,” adds Steve. “There are also plans for a new district hub at City Fields by DeVeer Estates, set to include a supermarket, health centre, family pub, gym, children’s nursery and small shops so there is every possible ingredient for a thriving community.”

City Fields is also just a short drive from Wakefield city centre, close to Pinderfields Hospital and has superb motorway links.

Our other homes start from £226,950 for a three-bedroom Malvern semi and there are other four-bedroom detached properties from £334,950.

Those with an existing property to sell can use our own Help to Sell incentive, which is designed to find a buyer quickly and with the minimum of fuss, while contributing to selling fees.

For more information about City Fields make an appointment to visit the show homes and sales office in Neil Fox Way, usually open Thursday to Monday from 10am to 5.30pm. Go to City Fields or call 01924 586848.
