Ella Askham from Barnsley was named as Sales Consultant of the Year and Michael Jordon from Huddersfield was named as Customer Services Employee of the Year.
Both team members were presented with the accolade at Redrow’s annual customer conference.
Based at Yorkshire’s head office in Wakefield, Ella joined Redrow as a sales administrator 11 years ago.
“My mum actually spotted the job with Redrow. I had come from a secretarial role, but wanted something with better benefits, somewhere that would support me in my career and development,” said Ella, 33.
“After having my first child, I wanted part-time hours, which is when I was offered the role of sales consultant and I haven’t looked back!”
Ella’s role is a busy one, interacting with both prospective buyers and customers who have purchased a new home, on a daily basis.
“Buying a new home is one of, if not the biggest purchase of a person’s life. It’s special to be able to guide our customers along the journey and be there for them with any questions or problems they have,” said Ella, who lives with her husband Scott and two daughters, Ava, 9, and Ivy, 5.
“I love selling our homes. I genuinely believe we are the best builder out there. Our traditional exteriors are full of character, with modern layouts inside and our street scenes really stand out. When you love the homes you’re selling it comes across to our customers.
“I was so shocked and overwhelmed when I was announced as the Sales Consultant of the Year. I never expected it. We have a great team here at Redrow Yorkshire and I’m very proud to be a part of it.”
Also based at Redrow Yorkshire’s head office, Michael works with technicians and customer service coordinators to deliver a ‘first-class service’ to Redrow’s homeowners.
Michael, a technician supervisor, joined the Redrow team two and a half years ago after taking the plunge and starting on a new career path.
“I used to be a self-employed joiner, working in the UK and abroad, but I was ready for a new challenge,” said Michael, 35 who lives in Huddersfield with his soon to be wife Kate.
“I’d never worked in customer services before, but Redrow offered to fulfil my aspirations and needs.
“I’m very proud of this award. It’s nice to be recognised for what you are doing. I’m a big believer in the phrase ‘you are as only as good as the team you work in’. We have developed immensely in up-skilling our team and our day-to-day processes.”

“Ella has been with the team for quite a while now and shows great loyalty,” said John.
“She is part of a wider team working on Langley Grange, one of our flagship developments and regularly receives positive feedback from customers, which just shows the attention to details she pays.
“Michael is relatively new to the team but quickly understood what we do for our customers. He recently received a well-deserved promotion and is always working hard to support the coordinators and technicians.
“Congratulations to them both.”
