Currently celebrating its 40th anniversary year, Redrow Homes has joined a prestigious list of high profile companies committed to ensuring that 5% of their workforce are apprentices, graduates or trainees within the next five years.
In reality, 14% of the Redrow’s 1,300 employees have trainee status, making it a leader in the construction and housing industry for staff development. The company plans to increase that number by taking on 112 more apprentices and trainees this year.
The 5% Club is an industry-led scheme focused on creating momentum behind the recruitment of apprentices and graduates into the workforce. The campaign is backed by the CBI and has been praised by Government for its goals of asking the nation’s businesses to commit to invest in the next generation and help improve Britain’s future prosperity and growth.
Its members include FTSE350 companies who want to make a difference and support the UK’s ability to compete in increasingly tough global markets.

Redrow’s training schemes are designed to deliver the skills required to forge a long-term career in the sector and include trade and office apprentices, graduate trainees, technical trainees and trainee site managers.
