Redrow developments in Central London, Hampshire, Gloucestershire, Lancashire and West Yorkshire are lining up for top honours in this year’s UK Property Awards.
The schemes are guaranteed to collect at least a Highly Commended and could win a top 5-star award in their respective categories or even ‘best in UK’.
Redrow’s winning developments are:
Residential Renovation / Redevelopment:
5 & 6 Connaught Place, Hyde Park, London
Lymington Shores, Lymington, Hampshire
Cerney on the Water, South Cerney, Gloucestershire
Horsforth Vale, Leeds, West Yorkshire
Beacon Point, Lytham Quays, Lytham, Lancashire
The Gala Dinner will be held in London on October 24 and Redrow will also pick up an award in the Developer Website category for redrow.co.uk.
The UK Property Awards are part of the long established International Property Awards, the world’s richest competition when measured by the value of the projects entered. A high-calibre jury of around 70 international experts judge the winning submissions.
Last year, Redrow won a 5-star award and ‘Best in UK’ for One Commercial Street, Aldgate East, in the High Rise Development category, with six other schemes rated Highly Commended in different categories.
Dave Bexon, Redrow’s group sales and marketing director, said: “Our success in this prestigious award scheme is testimony to the quality and diversity of our developments across the UK. Properties are judged on a number of features, including their location, appearance, finish and sustainability.
“Amongst the projects earmarked for an award this year is Redrow London’s conversion of early 19th century, historic Grade II listed townhouses at 5 & 6 Connaught Place, adjacent to Hyde Park. The conversion is creating luxury residences within a prestigious conservation area.
“Judges have also picked out new-build waterfront apartments and villas in the south coast sailing ‘Mecca’ of Lymington; lakeside family homes in the sought-after Cotswold village of South Cerney; stone-built, Arts & Crafts influenced homes in beautifully landscaped surroundings in the leafy Leeds suburb of Horsforth; and luxury apartments in the Fylde coast town of Lytham, famed for its boutiques, restaurants, café bars and championship golf courses.
“It’s a portfolio we’re immensely proud of and external awards like these provide consumers with extra reassurance about the quality of our product.”
Redrow has also been shortlisted for two titles at the 2014 Housebuilder Awards, to be held on November 6. The company’s ‘Come home to Redrow’ campaign is a finalist for best marketing initiative, while the iconic Kingston Riverside development in Kingston-upon-Thames competes in the category for best design of four storeys or more.
Earlier this month Redrow’s five-bedroom detached Highgrove earned a Highly Commended at the Sunday Times British Homes Awards for a standard house type that champions best practice in design, specification and craftsmanship.
