“The show home was unlike anything we had seen before,” Michael, 27, explained. “We hadn’t been able to find anything that ticked all of our boxes; i.e. an attractive exterior, a high quality interior that makes the most of the space with funky and interesting decor and a garage. We also loved the wet rooms at Abode as they’re extremely spacious, in fact, I can’t see us ever going back to having a normal bathroom now.”

Help to Buy is aimed at those lacking a substantial deposit. All homes under £300,000 qualify for Help to Buy Wales which means they can be purchased with a 5% deposit. “Help to Buy was really useful. We used the mortgage expert that the sales consultant put us in touch with. We can’t fault them really, it was a really straightforward process,” Michael said.
Michael and Laura, also 27, plumped for a three-bedroom ‘1011’ style Abode home which has an en suite wet room to the master bedroom as well as a wet room that serves the other two bedrooms. The home boasts a high specification with top brand named appliances and quality fixtures and fittings inside and outside, an ‘uncluttered’ façade finishes off the contemporary standard features.
However, for those that want a few more extras, there are the options of adding things like outdoor kitchens and high spec, low maintenance AstroTurf and lighting for gardens.
