A special event is being held for buyers looking for a home near Southport to let them know about how they can get help to make that purchase.
Award-winning homebuilder Redrow is holding a special Help to Buy open day at The Coppice in Banks on Saturday, October 12, with all the information customers need to make owning a brand new home easy and affordable.
Help to Buy is a government scheme, which uses a 20% equity loan, interest free for five years, to reduce the initial purchase price by tens of thousands of pounds.
All buyers need is a 5% deposit and a 75% mortgage from a lender of choice.
The scheme helps first-time buyers and those who may not have substantial equity in their current homes and means Redrow’s range of three and four-bedroom family homes in Banks could be much more affordable than they may think.
Banks is a popular village with a real community feel and within commuting distance of both Southport and Preston. The homes at the development are all from Redrow’s Heritage Collection which are Arts & Crafts inspired and boast bright, modern interiors with beautiful, streamlined kitchens and quality fixtures and fittings.
Current prices are from £221,995 and there are two fully furnished show homes, one three-bedroom and one four-bedroom, open to view.
Claire Jarvis, sales director for Redrow Homes (Lancashire), said: “Help to Buy has given thousands of first time buyers and families a vital boost. We’d like more people to know about the benefits of the scheme and come and see what financial options are available to them.
“At The Coppice there is a wide selection of homes available from Redrow’s award-winning Heritage Collection which combines traditional exteriors with 21st century interiors.
“We’ll have a new homes mortgage expert on hand on October 12 to explain how the scheme works and tell buyers that they could be enjoying smaller than expected monthly mortgage repayments.”
The Help to Buy 20% equity loan can be repaid when homebuyers have more funds available or come to resell.
The Coppice is convenient for those who work in Southport, Preston or even Liverpool but want a more rural place to live. Banks Marsh on the Ribble Estuary is popular with walkers and bird watchers, while the village itself has local amenities including convenience shops, two primary schools and a leisure centre with a sports hall, all-weather pitches and a fitness suite. The beaches, tourist attractions, bars, cafes and restaurants of Southport are only a short drive away.
