Redrow is holding a special event in Garstang so would-be homebuyers can find out about all the help on offer for buying a brand new home.
On Saturday July 11, visitors to its Canal View development at The Toppings, will be able to take part in Redrow’s Homebuyer Surgery and find out about financial and practical help available to them, such as Help to Buy or part exchange.
They’ll also have the chance to talk to various independent experts from Property Perspective and RSC New Homes and who can help them make the right choices for them.
Canal View will feature 44 of Redrow’s Arts & Crafts influenced Heritage Collection new homes. A range of three and four-bedroom homes are currently on sale with prices starting at £299,995.
Claire Jarvis, sales director for Redrow Homes (Lancashire), said: “Help to Buy has been incredibly popular since it was introduced and some of our customers perhaps wouldn’t have been able to buy without it. Visitors who come and talk to our experts may be pleasantly surprised as to what they can afford thanks to the 20% equity loan that brings the initial price down. Would-be buyers will also have the opportunity to discuss the options of part exchange and Mastermove too.”
The award-winning housebuilder’s Mastermove scheme could help homeowners sell up and move on quickly, avoiding any lengthy chains – and paying their estate agent’s fees.
Customers who sign up for Mastermove will have their property valued and, once a selling price is agreed, Redrow instructs a local estate agents to market the property on their behalf. Crucially, the housebuilder keeps in regular contact with all parties to ensure the sales process runs quickly and smoothly and they will even pay the estate agent’s fees at the end of the day. All it takes is a small deposit, which will be refunded upon completion.
Alternatively, part exchange may be offered on selected plots which means Redrow will effectively act as a cash buyer for the customer’s existing property. Homeowners can move from old to new quickly and simply without any estate agent’s fees to pay.
At the Homebuyers’ Surgery, visitors will also be able to take a look around the professionally designed and decorated ‘Canterbury’ style home while speaking to experts about how they could be making a move to the pretty development.
Claire added: “Using part exchange is a great way to save time and money and those who buy and sell in this way could find they’re able to move much sooner than if they wait until they secure a buyer for their existing property on the open market.”
Canal View is very handy for the centre of Garstang, and as the name suggests, it’s close to the Lancaster Canal. Last year, The Sunday Times noted Garstang as one of the Best Places to live in the UK, thanks in part to it becoming the world’s first Fairtrade Town in 2000 and its thriving market.
The Homebuyers’ Surgery event will be held on July 11 between 11am and 4pm.
The fully furnished Canterbury showhome is open Thursday to Monday inclusive from 10am to 5.30pm. Alternatively, call 01995 238065 or visit www.redrow.co.uk/canalview
