My Redrow helps buyers dress to impress their home

As a director of a corporate clothing firm, Anthony Lowe knew of Redrow because of the housebuilder’s smart uniforms and was pleased to discover its new homes were just as stylish.

After trying out the housebuilder’s The Chase venture in Walmer Bridge, near Preston for size, he found there was plenty of style on offer and plumped for a detached ‘Oxford’ four-bedroom home for him and his pregnant girlfriend Tammy.

Already having a property to sell in Clayton-le-Moors, near Blackburn, they utilised the Mastermove scheme, whereby Redrow instructs a local estate agents to market the property on the seller’s behalf.

Crucially, the housebuilder keeps in regular contact with all parties to ensure the sales process runs quickly and smoothly and they will even pay the estate agent’s fees at the end of the day.

Able to relax knowing that the sale was being taken care of, Anthony and Tammy could concentrate on choosing all the added touches for their brand new home.

They did that using a new and award winning service called ‘My Redrow’. Designed to make the home search and ensuing purchase a more personal experience, it also brings the process of buying a property in step with other sectors, which already harness the power of the internet to its full potential.

“We loved My Redrow and found it really helpful as you can see what’s available, colours, styles, etc and do everything in one place,” Anthony, 35, said. “It’s a fantastic tool as you can build up all your extras, budget accordingly and then print off a summary.”

Anyone browsing for a Redrow home is able to register with My Redrow and see full details of what is included within the high specification of a Redrow home. Customers who then reserve can choose their finishing touches and put their own unique design stamp on everything from kitchen units, work surfaces and tile choices to wardrobes, fireplaces and even light switches.

“We were able to add in things like ceramic tiles, choose colours for the bathroom, pick the door handles and decide on things in the kitchen like the style of hob,” Anthony added. “You can customise the property exactly as you want and when you move in, it’s ideal as there is little to no DIY to do. It’s a real time saver and it’s great being able to keep a track of the build progress too.”

Now happily installed in their new home, Anthony and Tammy are looking forward to welcoming their new addition into their perfectly personalised property.

Already acknowledged as being ahead of the field within the housing sector, My Redrow triumphed against other sectors in the Technology for Engagement category of the 2013 Peer Awards before winning the prize for Overall Customer Engagement.
