Helen masters a move to a new home in Guiseley

Helen Metcalfe didn’t think she wanted a new build home, until she experienced the ‘wow’ factor of Redrow’s New Heritage Collection with their traditional exteriors and modern interiors.

And thanks to Redrow’s Mastermove service she didn’t have to worry about selling her old 1930s semi in Pudsey to facilitate a move to brand new home at Branwell Park in Guiseley.

Helen explains: “I’d been looking to move to the Guiseley, Ilkley and Ben Rhydding area and had just been to view a property when I first passed Redrow’s Branwell Park development so went into the sales office. There wasn’t anything to see so Sam Brackenbury, the sales consultant, suggested I go to Holtby Gardens in Cottingham and Fox’s Fold in Barton upon Humber.

“I wasn’t looking for a new build because I didn’t think it would provide me with what I wanted – a big kitchen-diner with lots of storage space. When I first viewed the Redrow show homes I was amazed by how much space there was for a new house as there were big rooms, which was exactly what I was looking for. I thought ‘wow this is amazing’. I also like the traditional facade of the homes – the traditional style really gives them kerb appeal."

Helen used Redrow’s Mastermove service to sell her old home.

“Redrow appointed a tried and trusted agent to sell my house and they gave it a realistic price so that it would sell and it worked – the first people who viewed it bought it!”

She’s now the proud owner of a detached Oxford style home, which she describes as having ‘four decent sized bedrooms’ including en-suite to master bedroom.

At its heart is the open plan kitchen and dining room that was top of Helen’s list when looking for a new home. There’s also a separate lounge.

“I like that there’s a utility to keep the washer and dryer out of the kitchen,” Helen added.

“It was really nice to be able to choose the finish of the kitchen and the bathroom and have the pick of brand new things rather than inherit what someone else had wanted.”

The combination of the high specification and a location that puts a wealth of amenities including shops, bars, restaurants and the train station within easy reach, has helped make Branwell Park a popular choice with buyers.

Homes are selling quickly with potential purchasers waiting for properties to be released for sale.

“I would definitely recommend Redrow and have done. I have friends who desperately want to buy here but can’t because the homes are so popular. I’m really happy I made such a major decision so quickly because it feels right,” Helen added.

Located in Netherfield Road, Guiseley, current availability at Branwell Park includes four-bedroom homes in a choice of styles, with prices from £294,950.
