Last Two Home at Hall Croft are Top of the Class

Homebuyers are being urged to take a look at their timetables, because if they want to get an A* home at Hall Croft, Wickersley, they need to get onto the subject now.

There are just two properties left at the popular development and those who have done their homework will know that they are perfect for families, with outstanding schools close by.

Of those, St Albans C of E Primary, which describes itself as a ‘warm, friendly school where children are nurtured and thrive’, has been given an outstanding report by OFSTED, as was Wickersley School and Sports College for older children, which prides itself on its aim ‘to send every young person into the world able and qualified to play their full role in it’.

But Hall Croft doesn’t just get full marks from parents. Claire Shipman, area manager of local estate agency Blundells, says the properties more than pass the ideal home test: “When anyone registers with us, more people want to live in Wickersley than anywhere else in Rotherham. Much of the area’s appeal lies in the lifestyle offered, with lots of amenities from a post office, banks, bars and restaurants to the excellent schools – which brings a lot of families to the area.

“There is fantastic access to the M1, M18 and the A1, so it is a perfect area for commuters too. Prices are often at, or above, the £500,000-plus mark but with Redrow’s homes at Hallcroft below that it makes them more affordable and very desirable.

”Buyers get a prestige, premium home in a highly sought-after area.”

Each of the last remaining homes is a four-bedroom detached: the Welwyn is priced at £414,950 and the Henley is £474,950.

While styled differently, both homes are from Redrow’s Arts & Crafts inspired Heritage Collection, offering a traditional-looking exterior which invites people into a bright and modern, open-plan interior.

The Henley is a generously proportioned home of quality and character, featuring a large kitchen, dining and family area overlooking the rear garden, four good sized bedrooms – two with en-suite bathroom – and a handy double garage. The Welwyn, meanwhile, boasts a spacious dining and kitchen area plus a large separate lounge, an en-suite to the master bedroom and an integral garage.

Patsy Aicken, sales director for Redrow Homes (Yorkshire), says the two property styles - and indeed the development itself – have proved extremely popular and are ideal for families, for whom schools is often a priority.

“Hall Croft is a superb development. With only 19 properties, it is an exclusive collection of houses in an excellent location.

“It’s a place where people can get the balance between work and home just right.”

Both the Henley and the Welwyn are available with Help to Buy, which provides a 20% equity loan, interest free for five years, reducing the initial outlay and meaning the customer can typically buy with a 5% deposit and 75% mortgage. This takes the initial outlay for a Welwyn to just £331,960 and the Henley to £379,960. The equity loan is interest free for five years.
