Gill (56) and Gary (59) recently purchased and moved into a home at our new community The Shires in Bulphan, Essex. This is the fourth home the couple have bought together, but the third time they have bought new.
Gill, commented, “We like buying new, you feel assured that everything is in good working order. As existing homeowners, Gill and Gary needed to sell their previous home before they could move to their new home at The Shires.
Gill, said, “We first saw the Redrow home we liked, the four-bedroom Shaftesbury at their development in Braintree, but we needed to sell our home first. The couple relocated from nearby, but The Shires is slightly more rural with lots of countryside on the doorstep. Gill and Gary have found friendly neighbours and a sense of community already.
Gill, commented, “There are about 20 homeowners moved in at The Shires, and one of our neighbours popped a note through all of our front doors to set-up a community WhatsApp group. It has been great, given it has been slightly harder this year to meet people in person and have normal social gatherings, it has been a fantastic way to get to know each other. People put recommendations on it, share suggestions for what to do in the local area or where to pick up certain items. It has been lovely to feel like we know our neighbours already.”
