We recommend removing any dust and debris from the extractor fan on a monthly basis. Any damage should have been raised during your Home Preview or at your Courtesy Check.

If you have cleaned the fan and continue to experience issues, check the isolation points to ensure that they are switched to the 'on' position. For houses these are located within the consumer unit (also know as the fuse box) and in apartments usually within a cupboard in the hallway.
Please note that some extractor fans have timers so even when you turn them off at the switch, they will continue to run for a number of minutes. This is part of the design and is not a defect.
Leaking

There is no water supply to your extractor fan(s); they are designed to remove condensation from areas such as bathrooms, cloakrooms or washing areas. If you see water coming through the grill cover of your extractor fan back into the room, it may be where condensation has collected in the ducting.
This can occur occasionally during the drying out process of a new home and is not anything to worry about.
If the area does not dry out fully then please let us know and we will organise an inspection.
Boost not working
Your fan and the boost function were tested prior to your legal completion.
If it is not working effectively, check first that all other buttons on the controller are working, as it may be a simple solution of replacing the battery.
