Out of level

Your home has been hand-built, not factory-finished like a car, which means there will always be slight variances.

However, if your floors are over 4mm out of level per metre of floor we need to look into it. We appreciate that this may be hard to tell so if you have concerns about your floorboards then let us know as soon as possible.

Creaking

Timber floors and staircases naturally shrink as the materials used to build your new home dry out.

This can occasionally result in some squeaking as the components of the floor move against each other. This is natural and to be expected in any new home. It is not classed as a defect unless the creaking is excessive.
