We’ve been shortlisted for three high profile property industry awards and are also in the running for ‘Company of the Year’ in the multi-sectoral Global Good Awards.
The latter recognise and reward organisations of all shapes and sizes that are making strides towards a better world for people, the planet and the global economy.
“It’s the first time we’ve entered these particular awards and we’re delighted to be shortlisted for our track record creating thriving communities, building responsibly and valuing people,” says Tom Roberts, group communications manager at Redrow.
We will find out on June 16 if it has earned either a top place gold, silver or bronze Global Good Award, but must then wait until a winners’ lunch in November to discover the final result.
Meanwhile, we have also been named as a finalist at the RESI Awards, organised by Property Week, in the category of Large Developer of the Year; a title we won at last year’s ceremony. We will discover if we’re successful for a second year running on December 2.
We are also contenders for Residential Developer of the Year at the PROPS awards, organised by the children’s charity Variety and to be decided on October 22.
Our fourth shortlisting is for the Construction News Awards in the category of Best Residential Developer, with the winner due to be announced in London on October 14.
Each of the property awards is judged by a collection of experts from across the construction and private residential sectors, while judges for the Global Good Awards comprise sustainability and CSR experts from big business, social enterprises, charities and other organisations
Tom adds: “In addition to being a finalist at the Global Good Awards, it’s a fantastic achievement to have been shortlisted for three prestigious awards in our own sector, where we will compete alongside several other well respected homebuilders and developers.”
The awards were all entered prior to the Covid-19 pandemic taking effect and are based largely on the year ending June 30, 2019, when we reported a record revenue of £2.1 billion and built over 6,400 premium new homes across England and Wales, passing the 6,000 milestone for the first time.
They also take into account our strong track record in creating thriving communities, with major investment in green spaces, schools, healthcare and transport and valuing people through apprenticeships, vocational training and personal development opportunities for staff.
