Building thriving communities is at the heart of everything we do, and we recognise the difference we can create through supporting our local communities and charitable projects. As a business we’re passionate about how the NSPCC supports children and their families and carers, and we wanted to help them in the amazing work that they do.
Redrow is proud to support Childline in its One Unforgettable Day initiative, where individuals or businesses pledge £30,000 to run Childline for a day.
The NSPCC and Childline played an incredible role during the pandemic, and now more than ever it is important for young people to have somewhere to reach out to when they need help or some words of encouragement.
As part of this initiative, six of our Mental Health First Aiders are also visiting Childline bases, using one of their dedicated days of volunteering leave to support the organisation during one of their busy days.
These volunteering days form part of our ‘1,000 Days’ employee campaign, which aims to shine a spotlight on volunteering and encourage colleagues to pledge their time to help those that need it the most.
Supporting One Unforgettable Day is another great example of how we focus on bringing our Redrow community together to lend a helping hand, as well as celebrating the positive contribution that the NSPCC and Childline make in the UK.
Karen Jones, Director of HR comments: “We have worked closely with the NSPCC over the last two years and are incredibly passionate about the work they do for children. We’re grateful to the NSPCC for sharing resources for parents and carers at Redrow offering valuable guidance and support during a challenging time for everyone.
“Supporting One Unforgettable Day is a special way for us to continue our support for the NSPCC, helping to make sure Childline can be there for children and young people when they reach out.”
