Adult mental health support, an animal sanctuary, high school culinary courses and a dance group are some of the factions being supported by our latest community fund.
The fund, linked to Kings Moat Garden Village in Chester, was originally £5,000 but with over 40 applications, we decided to double it.
Anna Evans-Kerr, sales director at Redrow NW, said: “Trying to split £5,000 up between the large number of applications proved very difficult so we made the decision to up the funding pot so we could help more groups.
“We had some great causes apply and we’re really pleased to be helping 12 of them.”
The groups being helped by the fund include:
• Vivo Care Choice
• St Marks Brownies
• Inspiring Futures CIC
• Lache Animal Sanctuary
• Finding Harmony
• Dodleston Preschool
• Children Today
• Commodores Colour Guard dance group
• Cheshire Search and Rescue
• Storyhouse/ Wise Connections
• Save the Family
• Chester Cathedral
Anna added: “Our donations will help towards an accessible garden project, the running costs of an animal sanctuary and an adapted trike for a disabled child plus lots of other worthwhile projects.”
Kings Moat Garden Village, located on Wrexham Road, offers a wide selection of three and four-bedroom homes in a community within a community with play areas, green spaces, cycle ways and footpaths for residents and the wider neighbourhood to enjoy.
