The 25-year-old from Wrexham has received a further £3,000 sponsorship from us, bringing our commitment to a total of £7,000 over four seasons.
Chloe, who started playing golf when she was just two years old, has been able to realise her dream of playing professionally in the Ladies European Tour and, after playing in it for the first time last year, she finished in the top 50 on the Order of Merit (the official golf ranking system).
“Last year was my ‘rookie’ year playing in the tour however I spent three years previous to that playing in the Ladies European Access Tour which is a feeder tour - or ‘apprenticeship’ as I like to call it - into the main tour,” says Chloe.
“During my time on the Access Tour, I ranked in the top 5 players out of 200 and so starting my career on the esteemed Ladies European Tour and achieving such a good placing was a dream come true.”
Chloe’s goal this year is to finish within the top 30 on the Ladies European Tour.
Chloe, whose father Paul, is the national female golf coach for Wales, says none of this would be possible without the support given her.
“I use the money towards competition fees, flights, accommodation and living costs so Redrow really do provide me with a lifeline. Last year, before Covid hit, I was lucky enough to compete in Switzerland, the Czech Republic, and Saudi Arabia. With my new sponsorship, I’m hoping to take part in 20 events throughout this year and travel to places like Kenya, all Covid dependent of course.”
Chloe says another focus for her this year is building her player profile and reputation.
“I took part in some TV interviews last year and want to do more of this. This will come when I score highly on the leader board and so wouldn’t be able to aim for this without this new sponsorship,” adds Chloe.
Chloe has been sponsored by our Cheshire-based division, which builds homes in North East Wales, including Millstone View in Penymynydd, Flintshire, as well as across Cheshire and parts of Merseyside and Greater Manchester.
Jason Newton, managing director for the North West, said Chloe’s continued success was what made them want to continue with her sponsorship.
