It was whilst living in a flat in the centre of Liverpool, that Mike and Emily decided they needed more space, quieter surroundings and to be nearer to family.
“We started our search looking in East Cheshire and the Wirral, and we did the usual things like signing up to Rightmove, but we weren’t impressed with the houses that we could get within our budget,” said Mike, 34.
“We were also looking for energy efficient properties but there was nothing on the market.”
It was on a chance visit to Emily’s sister’s house when the couple, who work at Liverpool University, saw our new housing development.
“Coincidentally Charotte lives on an older Redrow development in Ledsham, and opposite her development we saw signage for a new development being built called Ledsham Garden Village,” said Mike.
“We took the chance to visit Redrow show homes at a nearby development called Weaver Park in Hartford, and we loved the homes on offer there.”
It was during their next visit that the couple were able to visit the show homes at Ledsham Garden Village, where they ‘fell in love’ with The Shaftesbury.
A four-bedroom detached property, The Shaftesbury boasts an open plan kitchen/dinning and family area, with a utility room and cloakroom. There is also a separate spacious lounger.
The second floor has four double bedrooms, there is an ensuite to the main bedroom and a family bathroom.
“We signed for our new home that day,” said Mike.
“We used the solicitors that Redrow recommended, it was quicker and easier for both ourselves and also the sales team at Redrow, as we were all working with the same people.”
Once reserved the couple used My Redrow to choose their finishing touches including their kitchen cabinets, worktops and appliances.

“They have numerous developments, with a huge variety of different homes. All of which have character, even before you even put your own stamp on it, which we love.”
Ledsham Garden Village also made a lasting impression on Emily’s parents, Mike and Jude, who have reserved a property on the development and are currently living with the couple until their home is ready.
“Mike and Jude have moved from Worcester after deciding to relocate and be closer to their two daughters. They are moving into an Amberley just across the green from our home,” said Mike.
“The green space at the front of our property is a great meeting point for all the new neighbours, with children playing and people walking their dogs, and everyone is friendly here. We definitely made the right choice.”
