Ella will be travelling to Hong Kong in August to compete for the first time as part of the England team.
Ella, who started playing the sport when she was 11, has had to fund the opportunity herself so the European U21 European champion covers costs by offering paid coaching and umpiring opportunities.
Now Ella is at university in Liverpool, studying Pharmacology, working to support herself is becoming increasingly difficult which is why Redrow’s donation means so much.
Ella said: “Without funding, it would be tough to be able to compete for England at the World Cup in Hong Kong. And if I didn’t compete there, it would jeopardise my chances of competing for the England Senior Women team at future European and World Championships and also for GB at the LA Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2028.”
With Lacrosse being part of the Olympic and Paralympic legacy, Ella is part of a team who is promoting this sport to younger generations by providing coaching clinics within the local area and promoting the dynamic Olympic sport.
Area sales manager for Redrow NW, Caroline Thompson-Jones, said: “It’s great that Ella is forging her way in Lacrosse and making a name for herself. It’s also inspiring to see her providing coaching and supporting the Olympic sport to younger generations. We wish her and the team all the best at the World Championships.”
