We have sponsored new kits for the Starcross Dons Under 10’s football team in the seaside town of Starcross which is based near to its The Copse development in Dawlish, Devon. The FA chartered standard club has a youth section which caters for 50 children and currently includes team for Under 7, 8 and 10’s as well as a mini kickers section (Dinky Dons) for three, four- and five-year olds.
The Starcross Dons Football Club provides children with a positive environment in which they will go on to learn and develop skills that they can use beyond football to handle life’s challenges.
Neil Keen, the manager of the under 10’s team said: “Fundraising for the club has been especially difficult during lockdown as we have had to cancel events that normally provide the vital funds we need to keep the club running.
“I had heard that Redrow were helping to actively support different parts of the local community and so I approached them for help before the start of lockdown. We are extremely thankful for Redrow’s support which has made a huge difference to the team who are very excited to wear their new kit for the first friendly match of the season in August.” Commenting on the sponsorship, our South West divisions sales manager, Charlotte Newnes, said; “We are committed to helping the local community in the areas we build houses and are thrilled to be supporting the Starcross Dons Football Club.
