We’ve just moved into Daresbury Garden Village, and to celebrate, we’re launching a community fund for the area.
With the addition of this latest fund, we’ve voluntarily gifted more than £160,000 to the neighbourhoods in the North West alone. This is over and above the statutory investment from us linked to planning consents, such as contributions to education, healthcare, public transport and affordable housing.
“Our community funds have made such an impact in other areas of the North West that even before homes here at Daresbury Garden Village were released for sale we’d started receiving enquiries from local projects asking when and how they could apply for funding,” said Anna Evans-Kerr, sales director for North West.
“We very much want to hear from good causes in the Daresbury area, especially those near to our development.”
Previously our funding across the North West has helped schools, charities, youth groups, sports teams and individuals at the very heart of the community, providing a range of resources including play equipment, defibrillators, furniture, food parcels, counselling and more.
Our Daresbury Fund is linked to Daresbury Garden Village, the first phase of the development has been named Gleaves View, a reference to the grade II listed George Gleaves Bridge, one of several bridges that cross the Bridgewater Canal nearby.
The homes featured in this first phase are all detached and offer a mix of three, four and five-bedroom accommodation. They are part of our hugely popular Arts and Crafts inspired Heritage Collection and include some of our new-generation ‘Lifestyle’ homes.
