Northwich Victoria Junior Football Club is on to a winner after scoring support from Redrow.
The club successfully applied to our Hartford Community Fund, receiving £700 to purchase new match goals and a line marker.
Chairman Robert Walsh said: “Our club consists of 17 teams, both boys and girls, and we’re very proud of our place in the local community. We offer the opportunity for youngsters to play and improve their football skills and to develop and mature as people in a safe environment. Our aim is to provide the highest quality footballing opportunities for young boys and girls within the Mid-Cheshire region and surrounding area. This is achieved by holding quality coaching sessions delivered by qualified coaches, following a structured development pathway. The support of companies like Regrow helps ensure we’re able to continue to offer our teams the best possible equipment.”
Northwich Victoria teams play and train at grounds across Hartford, Weaverham and Northwich.
The club was one of six beneficiaries of our latest Hartford Community Fund, which saw £5,000 shared amongst good causes close to the Weaver Park and Water’s Reach developments.
Area sales manager Caroline Thompson-Jones said: “Over the last few years we’ve gifted more than £25,000 to the community in and around Hartford via voluntary community funds. It’s helped us get right to the heart of the community and find out about the brilliant work being done by local people from all walks of life. Northwich Victoria, like so many other clubs and organisations, have been unable to hold their usual events to raise funds and so we were happy to step in and help. It’s great to see they have so many children keen to play football and lead an active lifestyle.”
Support for good causes via the Hartford Community Fund is in addition to our statutory investment in the neighbourhood with significant contributions to things like education, affordable housing, highways improvements and open space.
