Our Lancashire division has welcomed five new members to its Chorley based commercial team.
Pete Cox, who lives in Bury, is our newest senior quantity surveyor. Pete will be involved the division’s new flagship development in Halewood where he will have full commercial responsibility including managing the schemes budget and supply chain procurement.
Pete, who has previously worked for house builder Gleeson as regional managing quantity surveyor, says he’s always been an admirer of our product: “I’m very much looking forward to our commencement on site in Halewood where we will be creating a brand new community on 90 acres of land. It’ll be great to offer my knowledge and expertise to a development that will make such a huge impact and provide a legacy for years to come.”
Lee Smith, from Liverpool, has joined as a quantity surveyor from Keepmoat Homes where he was in the same role for two and a half years.
Lee’s previous experience includes working for lead contracting companies but says the time felt right to seize an opportunity to work for a company with a reputation as strong as ours.
Lee said: “I’m really looking forward to learning all about how Redrow build their award-winning homes and settling into the commercial team. I’m responsible for the day to day commercial aspects of three developments in the Lancashire region, working closely with the site teams.”
Hannah Clemow, from Newton-le-Willows, is the newly appointed assistant quantity surveyor. Hannah has spent the past two years as an assistant quantity surveyor at Countryside Properties.
Hannah said: “Redrow has an amazing reputation for looking after their staff and creating a great working environment and this was hugely appealing to me. They give their staff the opportunity to progress in their careers which is very important as I am close to finishing my degree at the University of Central Lancashire and want to be part of a company that will support me to develop.”
Lewis Hall, from Bolton, has joined as assistant buyer. While studying a BTEC in professional construction at Future Skills in Salford, Lewis spent time working as assistant buyer at Casey Group Ltd. He said this experience directed him into his chosen career path and he is delighted that he is now honing his skills for such a reputable housebuilder.
Claire Southward, from St Helens, has started as commercial coordinator. After starting out working for the North West Regional Development Agency on projects designed to improve the economic development and regeneration of the North West of England, Claire then spent time working within the construction industry in commercial and pre-construction roles. Claire gained experience as a commercial coordinator while working at Countryside Properties.
Commercial director James Whiteley said: “I’m looking forward to supporting our new colleagues and encouraging their development within Redrow. Our team is now well-equipped to fully support the changing requirements of the region with the focus being on supply chain procurement in a very demanding market.”
