Our award-winners in the region include Nick Smith at Ebbsfleet Village and Paul Hughes at Wentworth Park.
The winners of the prestigious industry award are selected from a pool of 16,000 site managers across the UK. The 12-month selection and judging process identifies site managers who demonstrate skills such as leadership, technical expertise, and attention to detail.
Nick Smith, a Senior Project Site Manager at our flagship Ebbsfleet Green development has won a Pride in the Job Quality award for the fourth year in a row and a second Seal of Excellence award. Nick began his career in construction at 16 when he enrolled in college and secured a National Diploma in Construction. In 2009 he joined Redrow as an assistant site manager and since then he has risen through the ranks, now focusing on delivering our 900-home community in Ebbsfleet Garden City.
This is also the second Seal of Excellence award Paul Hughes, Senior Project Site Manager, has won and the fourth consecutive year he has won the Pride in the Job award. Paul joined Redrow as an Assistant Trainee Site Manager and has since progressed to managing Wentworth Park, our scenic development in Herne Bay.
Ben Fewsdale, Managing Director at Redrow South East commented, “It is great to see both Nick and Paul awarded an NHBC Pride in the Job Award for a consecutive year. Their continued success demonstrates their exceptional contribution to Redrow and their commitment to bringing our communities to life across the South East region. Many congratulations to both Nick and Paul, as well as the wider Redrow team – everybody’s work is greatly appreciated.”
Nick Smith, Senior Project Site Manager at Ebbsfleet Green commented,“To be recognised for the NHBC Seal of Excellence Award, one of the most celebrated awards in our industry, for the fourth year in a row is a real honour. Ebbsfleet Green is such a significant site for the region, providing hundreds of new homes alongside crucial community facilities such as shops, sports facilities, and a new school and I have really enjoyed watching this community grow.”
Paul Hughes, Senior Project Site Manager at Wentworth Park, added,“I am very grateful to be awarded an NHBC Seal of Excellence Award this year. Of course, this would not be possible without the wider team at Wentworth so a big thank you to them for their continued hard work. I have always loved what I do, and there is nothing more rewarding than ensuring customers find their perfect home and enjoy their Redrow experience.”
Following the announcement of the first-round winners, all successful site managers go on to compete for a Seal of Excellence and a Regional Award in their respective categories.
We are committed to development and learning, supporting their employees through over 7,000 training days a year. We also offer our own dedicated housebuilding degree. The degree is available to all company employees, including site managers, ensuring that employees not only excel in their role but work towards achieving professional recognition.
Across the whole country, Redrow won 9 Seal of Excellence Awards and 1 Regional Award.
